What is VPS hosting?
A VPS, or cloud VM, is a virtual machine in a data center that you run like your own Linux server. On Varity you pick a size with shared or dedicated CPU cores, add your SSH key and connect.
What comes with every CPU VM?
25 GB of NVMe storage and one public IPv4 address. Additional NVMe is $0.09/GB-month, prorated hourly.
Are there traffic fees?
No. Inbound and outbound traffic are included, with no ingress or egress meter.
When does billing stop?
When you delete the VM. Compute is billed hourly up to your size's monthly maximum. Shutting down the operating system keeps the machine reserved.
Can I rent a GPU machine instead?
Yes. GPU compute runs as a container, a virtual machine or bare metal, billed by the hour with no egress fees.
